What is Climate Finance?
Climate finance refers to local, national, or foreign financing derived from public, private, and alternative funding sources to support 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 adaptation and 𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.
Climate finance is needed for 𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, because large-scale investments are required to significantly 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. It is also important for alteration, as significant financial resources are required to adapt to and reduce the impacts of 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲.
